Obituary

Stephen A. Levandoski, age 50, of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 22, 2009 as the result of an automobile accident. Stephen was born in Rantoul, IL at Chanute Air Force Base on June 10, 1958 to Lt. Col. Stephen A. and Mary Elizabeth Levandoski. He graduated from Zion-Benton High School in Zion, IL in 1977 and is also an alumni of the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL. On January 9, 1988 he was united in marriage to Cheryl Lindenbaum in Las Vegas, Nevada. He moved from Pleasant Prairie,WI to Beaver Dam in 2003 and was currently employed at Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon, WI.
Steve will be forever known for being an avid Chicago Bears fan, the proud owner of his pride and joy, a maroon 1969 Mustang, a chili cook-off competitor, and his personal philosophy on life and politics.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Cheryl, their children; Michael, Mark and Mary, all of Beaver Dam, his older children from a previous marriage, Amber Levandoski, Autumn Bates and Stephen Christopher Levandoski. He is further survived by his sisters, Kathleen (Larry) Walker of Waukegan, IL, Judy Lucero of Antioch, IL, Mary Beth Levandoski of Colorado, Stephanie Anderson of Indianapolis, IN, Therese Levandoski of Gurnee, IL and Diane (Robert) Denikas of Columbus,WI. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives, his close friend Kris Thorstenson and his two "best buddies" Jade and Louie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 12:00p.m. (NOON) at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 S. Spring St. in Beaver Dam. A Memorial Gathering will also take place on Sat. June 6, 2009 from 11:15a.m. until the time of Mass at NOON at the Church. Burial has already taken place at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family as a college fund for Stephen's younger children is being established.
