Steven was born November 16, 1944, in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of Marianne Bahr. Steven's father passed away when he was very young, and he knew Leroy Bahr as his father. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in North Fond du Lac. Following high school, Steven married Sandra, and they were the proud parents of two wonderful sons, Scott and Sean.

Steven was united in marriage to Lois Kreuziger (Wedman) in 1984. They lived in Waupun and enjoyed taking vacations to Nevada. Steven also enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with friends. He was happy when sharing memories of the time he spent as a child with his grandfather, Robert. He also liked shooting trap at the John Howard Memorial Gun Club.

He is further survived by his sisters, Susan (Jeff) Rock and Karen Babler; brother-in-law, Lee (Gerri) Preuss; and his dog, Willow; along with other relatives and friends.
