Steven "Steve" Washtock, age 38 of Fox Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 22, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Steve was born on June 20, 1973 in Beaver Dam to Michael and Judy (nee Cigelske) Washtock. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1992. Steve was very kind-hearted and loved playing with his nieces and nephews. He always looked forward to Halloween, as well as going on long cruises on the open road. He enjoyed carving wood, collecting knick-knacks and other little treasures. His happy-go-lucky personality will always be remembered and missed.

Steve is survived by his father, Michael Washtock of Beaver Dam; his mother, Judy (Jerry) Welch of Fox Lake; his siblings, David (Jenny) Washtock of Beaver Dam, Susan (David) Kastner of Missouri, Michelle (Kristopher) Pinkerton of Oshkosh, and Laura (Tim) Walker of Fox Lake; his step-siblings, Melissa (Ed) Klapper of Beaver Dam, Kim (Dale) Schroeder of Beaver Dam, Lori (Bryon) Garrity of Milwaukee, Candy Welch of Beaver Dam and Mike (Lori Zumm) Welch of Fox Lake; his step-grandpa, Leroy Fields of Randolph and his step-grandma, Helen Welch of Beaver Dam. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Victor, his paternal and maternal grandparents and other relatives.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Steve will take place on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 127 W. Maple Ave. in Beaver Dam with Fr. Mike Erwin as celebrant. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Beaver Dam.
