Steven Van Hierden, 57, of Waupun, passed away on November 7, 2024.
Steven was born on March 9, 1967, the son of Ronald and Darlene Moltz Van Hierden. Steven grew up in Waupun where he attended local schools. He dedicated his career as a carpenter for the union. His remarkable handiwork and commitment to quality were evident in every project he undertook. Steven found joy in his hobbies and interests. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, reveling in the tranquility of nature. His love for racing and breeding German short- hair pointers brought him immense happiness, and he was especially fond of his grand dogs. Whenever he visited his sons, Colten and Damon, he would receive all the attention from the dogs, showcasing the special bond he shared with them.
Steven was a former baseball player who made significant memories during his youth, yet his proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his two sons: Colten (Kayla) Van Hierden and Damon (Melissa) Van Hierden. His legacy continues in his beloved grandchildren: Payton McBride and Lennon Van Hierden, who brought him boundless joy.
He is survived by his mother, Darlene Van Hierden; and siblings: Ron Van Hierden, Tony (Kelly) Limberg, and Debbie (James) Young. Steven also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, Ronald Van Hierden; and his brother, Scott Van Hierden.
His presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
