Susan Kay Schroedl, age 76, of Lake Mills, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Sue was born January 21, 1950, in Waupun, the daughter of Harold and Virginia (Bastain) Vosekuil.
Some people leave behind memories, while others leave behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and a little bit of sass. Sue was the kind of woman who left behind all three.
She was a free spirit with a heart full of love, a personality that could light up any room, and just enough sass to keep everyone on their toes. She spoke her mind, lived life on her own terms, and if there was gossip floating around town, chances were she already knew about it, and was more than happy to share!
Sue began working at the Weyenberg shoe factory in Waupun at just 16 years old. She later worked at the Beaver Dam Shoe Factory until the mid-1990s, followed by several years at Walmart before retiring in the mid-2000s. On September 18, 1971, Sue married Bill Yuenger at Trinity Methodist Church in Beaver Dam. They were married until his passing on March 3, 2003. Sue later married Ronald Schroedl on July 7, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures: tending to her beautiful flowers, taking walks in the winter to admire Christmas lights, listening to old country music on full volume while cleaning, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and watching NASCAR.
Heaven gained a beautiful soul, a little extra sass, and undoubtedly someone who's already catching up on all the latest news.
Rest easy, Sue. Keep the flowers blooming, the music playing, and the gossip flowing. You will be loved and missed beyond measure.
Sue is survived by her children, Allen Yuenger, Paul Yuenger, and Stacy (Keith) Reinhard; grandchildren, Dylan (Kendall) Reinhard, Austin Reinhard, Kyle Reinhard, and Aaron Reinhard; great-grandchildren, Arianna Bredeson and Wyatt Reinhard; siblings, Harry (Sandy) Vosekuil, Ronald Vosekuil, and Ellen (Jeff) Frank; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Virginia Vosekuil; brothers, Donald and Kenneth Vosekuil; her first husband, Bill Yuenger; and her second husband, Ronald Schroedl; and other relatives.
Visitation for Sue will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lake Mills from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Lake Mills.
