Tammy J. Kasuboski

May 9, 1968 — May 30, 2026

Tammy Jayne Kasuboski, lived a life defined by faith, family, service, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Tammy's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to Barry and a loving mother to her three daughters, whom she loved beyond measure. Her family was the center of her world, and every decision she made reflected her desire to nurture, support, and encourage those she loved most. She celebrated life's joys with them, stood beside them through every challenge, and instilled values of kindness, faith, perseverance, and compassion that will continue through future generations.

Tammy was also one of her daughters' biggest fans. She spent countless hours on softball fields, cheering from the sidelines, celebrating victories, offering encouragement after losses, and creating memories that her family will treasure forever.

Professionally, she was a proud graduate of the University of LaCrosse with a Bachelors in Social Work and also attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where Tammy earned her Master's Degree in Social Work and dedicated her life to serving others. She spent her career advocating for individuals and families during some of life's most difficult moments. Her passion for helping others led her to devote many years to supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and their families, always placing their needs above her own. She later concluded her distinguished career as a beloved and compassionate Hospice Social Worker, where she provided comfort, dignity, guidance, and unwavering support to patients and families facing end-of-life journeys. To those she served, Tammy was more than a social worker; she was a source of strength, hope, and grace during times when it was needed most. Through her work at Clearview, Hillside Home Care & Hospice and Agrace, Tammy was known for her empathy, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to those entrusted to her care.

Tammy’s service to others extended far beyond her professional life, including the many years she dedicated alongside her daughters as a Girl Scout leader and mentor. Through Girl Scouts, she helped young girls build confidence, leadership skills, self-worth, and a deep understanding of community service, loyalty, perseverance, and compassion. The countless service projects, camping trips, field trips, meetings, and adventures she shared with her troop created lasting memories and life lessons that continue to shape the women those girls have become. Tammy also had a remarkable gift for seeing the good in people, offering understanding, encouragement, and grace rather than focusing on flaws or shortcomings. She was often the voice of reason, the trusted confidant, the listening ear, and the friend who helped others find hope and possibility in difficult situations. Her words, “Don’t worry about what other people think of you, it gets you nowhere,” and “It will be what it will be,” reflected the way she lived: authentically, faithfully, and with purpose, trusting the journey and encouraging others to do the same.

Known for her strength, loyalty, kindness, and sense of humor, Tammy found joy in life's simple moments. Whether gathered around a backyard fire, celebrating community events, sharing laughter with friends, singing along to her favorite music, or spending time with those she loved, she had a unique ability to make ordinary moments extraordinary.

Purple was Tammy's color, representing the beauty, strength, grace, loyalty, fearlessness, and love that defined her life. Those qualities radiated through everything she did and every life she touched.

Tammy's impact cannot be measured by titles alone, though she wore each one proudly: wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, mentor, advocate, caregiver, and leader. She gave herself freely, loved without measure, and consistently placed the needs of others before her own. Her legacy is found not only in her family, but in the countless individuals she comforted, mentored, encouraged, and inspired throughout her life.

While her loss is deeply felt, those who knew and loved Tammy take comfort in knowing that her faith sustained her throughout her journey. Cancer did not define her story, nor did it have the final word. Her life was one of courage, compassion, and unwavering love. Her legacy will continue to live in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, former Girl Scouts, patients, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Barry Kasuboski; her daughters, Haylee, Abbey, and Chloe; her mother, Marilyn (Vossekuil) Vander Sanden; her brother, Rick (Kathy) Vander Sanden; countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and an unmatched number of beloved friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Vander Sanden, and other loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms as she entered Heaven's gates.

Tammy leaves behind a lasting imprint on this world. Through her service, her kindness, her faith, and her love, she made it a better place. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered by all whose lives were touched by her extraordinary spirit.

A memorial gathering for Tammy will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Gwen Loomans officiating.

As you wear purple in honor of Tammy, her family encourages you to carry forward the values she lived each day: acts of kindness, service to others, and meaningful time spent with loved ones. These simple but powerful gestures reflect the way Tammy loved, served, and gave so generously throughout her life.

These organizations provided care, compassion, hope, and support throughout Tammy’s journey, and donations made in her memory will help continue that same care for others and their families.
