Terrence "Terry" W. Wilder, age 88 of Markesan, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Markesan Resident Home.

Terry was born on January 26, 1928 in Wells, MN, the son of William and Loretta (Hennessey) Wilder. He graduated from Wells High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. On November 7, 1953, he was united in marriage to Lois Ryan in Wells, MN. Terry worked as a warehouse manager at Del Monte and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Markesan. He served on the Markesan School Board, actively participated in the annual Kiwanis shows and enjoyed golfing in his free time.

Terry is survived by his wife, Lois of Markesan; his children, Patti Donnowitz of Crown Point, IN and Cary (Sue) Wilder of Neenah; grandchildren, Julie (Chris) Medwetz, Matt (Taryn) Donnowitz, Ryan (Melanie) Wilder and Sam Wilder (Maggie Slatter); great-grandchildren, Lily and Max Medwetz and Eliza Donnowitz; siblings, Jeanne Enderson of Sioux Falls, SD, Fran (Geri) Wilder of Wells, MN and Noni (Jim) Clark of Stevens Point; sister-in-law, Shirley Ryan of Rochelle, IL; brother-in-law, Dave Smith of Colorado; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Alys Smith; brothers-in-law, Endy Enderson and Joe Ryan and other relatives.

Visitation for Terry will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 45 St. Joseph St., Markesan from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Father Paul Eruva will serve as celebrant. Inurnment will take place at Markesan Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
