Thomas E. Faber

Thomas “Tom” Edwin Faber, age 86 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Tom was born on January 23, 1940, in Rochester, Minnesota, the son of Dr. John E. and Bernice (Frey) Faber. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. In October of 1967, he was united in marriage to his wife, Karla Seitz. Together they loved to travel, especially throughout Europe. Tom worked as a history and psychology teacher at Beaver Dam High School. He was a true history buff and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. In his free time, Tom enjoyed cooking, refinishing furniture, and working with stained glass. A big baseball fan, he loved watching the Brewers. He also enjoyed jazz music, especially Pete Fountain, and going fishing.

Tom is survived by his wife, Karla Faber; his daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” (Andrew Lonning) Faber; granddaughter, Jillian Lonning; his brothers-in-law, Theron Seitz and Barry Rubin and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John W. Faber and Stephen Faber; his sister, Jane Rubin; and other relatives.

A memorial gathering for Thomas will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
