Thomas "Tom" B. Zilewicz, age 68 of Randolph, passed away peacefully on Monday,
December 20, 2010 at his brother's home in Fox Lake.

Tom was born on January 3, 1942 in Blue Island, Illinois to Bruno and Lillian (nee Truschke) Zilewicz. He graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, Illinois and later worked as a metal inspector at Liton Precision Gear in Chicago and later at BR Metal Technology in Menomonee Falls. Tom had a passion for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, bird watching, gardening or landscaping, he always enjoyed the time he was able to spend being outside. Tom was also an excellent neighbor. He enjoyed helping his neighbors by taking care of their yards and flowers.

Tom is survived by a special friend, Gloria Tegtmeyer of Fox Lake; brothers, John (Janis) Zilewicz of Orland Park, IL, Donald (Roseann) Zilewicz of Fox Lake and Frank (Susan) Born of Mountain Home, Arkansas; a sister, Joan Steigert of Joliet, IL, 7 step-children and many step-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances (Gene) Rys along with other relatives

A Memorial Service for Tom will be on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam with Fr. Mike Wild officiating. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the Memorial Service at the funeral home. .
