Timothy Dahl

Timothy “Tim” Dahl, age 80, of Waupun, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.

Tim was born on December 7, 1944 in Beaver Dam. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1963 and soon after married his beloved wife, Madeline White. The couple resided in Waupun throughout their years together. Tim's career began as a police officer in Waupun, where he served with honor for four years before embarking on a career at White Heating and Cooling. He then embraced various jobs, always bringing dedication and a strong work ethic.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Tim was deeply passionate about sports. He umpired baseball from Little League through to college, finding joy and energy in the game that extended beyond mere duty. He also refereed high school basketball and high school football, showcasing his commitment to youth athletics. Tim's involvement in the Lions Club reflected his dedication to serving others, while his hobbies included bowling and avidly supporting his favorite teams, the Chicago Bears and Milwaukee Brewers. Above all, Tim cherished the moments spent watching his grandchildren as they participated in activities, dance recitals, and tractor pulls.

Tim is survived by his children, Melissa Hull and Todd Dahl; grandchildren: Owen Hull, Emma Hull, and Ayanna Dahl; his special friend, Nancy Matteson; his “second daughter” Marcia Schmidt; his great-grand dog, Finn; and cousins and friends he met through the years.

Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline (White) Dahl; his mother and step-father, Gladys and Kenneth Klimke; his in-laws, Orien and Myrtle White, and his sister-in-law, Mary White.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Event Center. Per Tim’s request please wear Chicago Bears or Milwaukee Brewers apparel or their team colors.
