Valeria A. Warnke, age 93 of Ripon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Ripon Medical Center.
Visitation for Valeria will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m with Fr. Dale Grubba as Celebrant. Burial will take place at Princeton City Cemetery.
Valeria was born on May 27, 1925 in Princeton, the daughter of Nicholas and Theresa (Soda) Lashock. She was united in marriage to Donald F. Warnke on August 16, 1949 in Princeton. Valeria, and her late husband, Don co-owned and operated Center House, a grocery store, bar and restaurant. She also cleaned houses for numerous years around Green Lake and formed long-lasting friendships with many of her clients. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, doing crewel embroidery, and being with her dog Abby. A devoted, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, Valeria always looked forward to spending time together at family gatherings. Her family meant everything to her.
Valeria is survived by her five children, Bruce (Michele) Warnke of Madison, Cindy (Tom) Downs of Green Lake, Nancy Stephenson of Sun Prairie, Don (Christine) Warnke of Green Bay and Lisa (Dan) Sondalle of Green Lake; nine grandchildren, Cora, Michelle, Heidi (Chuck), Eric (Mandy), Sarah, John, Dan (Mary), Alyssa (Rick) and Justin; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Aaden, Jada and Aubrey; sister, Inez Coda of Waupun; brothers, Dennis (Elaine) Lashock of Raleigh, NC and Adrian (Gerry) Lashock of Princeton; sister-in-law, Bernadine Lashock of Princeton; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Lynn; siblings, Ervin in infancy, Alice Lashock, Lenny (Hilda) Lashock, Marvin (Marge) Lashock, Urban Lashock and Eugene (Helen) Lashock; and other relatives.
