Verna Florence Irene Paul, age 89, formerly of Marquette, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Ripon Medical Center.

Verna was born on November 10, 1930 in Princeton, the daughter of Michael T. and Martha E. (Zeatlow) Hoffman. She was united in marriage to William H. Paul Jr. on February 28, 1948 in Manchester. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan and enjoyed being in the Ladies Aid. In her free time, she enjoyed polka dancing, fishing and playing bingo.

Verna is survived by her children, Linda (Brian) Byse of Oregon, Roy (Mary Ann) Paul of Montello and Keith (Cindy) Paul of Marquette; 9 grandchildren, Jason, Jordan, Miranda, Doug, Josh, Sarah, Tomi, Todd and Tara; 15 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Draeger of Markesan and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Donald; brothers, Gilbert, Howard, Clarence, Lester, Harley, Merlin, Elmer, Arnold; sisters, Evelyn Pahl and Bernice Sanders; and other relatives.
