Vicki Platt

Vicki Platt, 69, of Waupun, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Randolph Health Services. 

Vicki was born January 1, 1954 in Hamilton, OH to Albert and Lucinda (Roberts) Lunsford Sr. Vicki loved her animal companions, Rosy and Ruby. She had the mouth of a trucker with a heart of an angel. She could be stubborn but enjoyed crafts, southern style cooking, and family was everything to her. Vicki loved being a grandmother and everything she did was to make her family happy. She lived in multiple states, finally settling in Wisconsin in 2006. 

Vicki is survived by a son, Donovan (Susie) Platt; a daughter, Dolores (Kasie) Keel; six grandchildren: Donovan (Bree) Platt, Kayla (Michael) VanOosting, Katelyn (Jake) Weishaar, Thomas Anderson, Steven (Harmony) Anderson, and Logan; and many nieces and nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by a grandson, Dakotah; a twin brother, Richard; brothers: Herbert, Charles, Ron, and David Lunsford; and a sister, Grace “Marlene” Begley. 

A special thanks to Waupun Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care over the years, SSM hospice, the staff of the D win along with everyone else at Randolph Nursing Home. Also a special thank you to CNA Kim Gruenwold at Randolph Nursing Home, social worker, Megan Buechel at Waupun Memorial Hospital, and RN Chris Graf with Inclusa. 

The family would like to remind everyone of the importance of setting up their advance directives/living will. 

Private services will be held. No flowers please. Donations may be directed to the humane society or animal rescue of your choice.
