Viola Ida Fenske was born on May 22, 1930, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Rupnow) Nitz. She was a 1947 graduate of Markesan High School. On July 11, 1948 Viola married the love of her life, Floyd A. Fenske at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, and grandma great.

Viola worked in food service at the Manchester and Markesan schools. She received a diploma from Moraine Park Technical Institute from the School Food Service program. Viola loved to cook and bake for her family and the many students she served. Viola was a member of St. Paul's Ladies Aid and Manchester Homemakers. She enjoyed family, dancing, and ceramics.

Viola passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Her Lord and Savior gathered her in His arms and took her to heaven. She was 90 years, 5 months, and 27 days of age.

Viola is survived by three daughters, Linda (Terrence) Schmidt of Waupaca, Jean (Gary) Daye of Sheboygan and Sandy (Tim) Bade of Alto; five sons, Dennis (Karen) Fenske of Waupun, Jerry (Donna) Fenske of Beaver Dam, Gary (Joanne) Fenske of Princeton, Russell (Renae) Fenske of Markesan and James (Diane) Fenske of Rochester, MN; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; five brothers; three sisters and other relatives.

Visitation for Viola will take place on Monday, November 23, 2020 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, W3377 Main St., Manchester from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Plagenz officiating. Burial will take place at Manchester Cemetery, followed by a carry-out luncheon provided for family and friends back at church. The family requests that everyone wear a mask if possible.
