Obituary

Virginia J. (nee Evans) Egerer, age 82 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.

Virginia was born June 6, 1930 to Louis and Maxine (nee McGraw) Evans in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She grew up in Joliet, IL, but eventually moved to Ladysmith where she worked at Ben Franklin. It was there where she met her future husband, Arthur Egerer. On October 23, 1948, Virginia married Art in Ladysmith.

Virginia had a love for many hobbies. She was an expert in crocheting and sewing, and had a passion for cooking, especially angel food cake. She also loved to fly and would fly small engine planes around the state with Art. Virginia also enjoyed visiting their cabin in northern Wisconsin where she loved the outdoors and gardening her many flowers.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Arthur; daughter, Therese B. Swiersz; grandchildren, Brian (Paula Sparks) Swiersz, Arty (Angie) Swiersz, and Bernedette (Matt) Schnell; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Olivia Swiersz, Jack, Emma and Noah Swiersz, and Brett, Nolan and Henry Schnell. She is also survived by her siblings, Patsy Kudingo, Nancy Williams, Louie Evans, Jr., Fay (Ray) Frankfourth, Loyal Evans, Kathleen (Wally) Stanger, LaNeta Smith, Phillip (Jean) Evans, and Dusty Evans, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Joyce, Russell, Michael and Debbie Evans.
Honoring Virginia's wishes, there will be no formal service and inurnment will take place at a later date.
