Walter "Bill" W. Lemke, age 82 of Fox Lake, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Bill was born on August 30, 1927 to William and Genevieve (nee Horn) Lemke in Cook County, Illinois. He graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago, IL and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Bill was united in marriage to Virginia Newcomb. He worked as an iron worker in Chicago. Bill enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bowling and traveling on vacation.

Bill is survived by his wife, Virginia Lemke of Fox Lake; his children, Barbara King of Clermont, FL, William Lemke of Somonauk, IL, Carol (Brian) Christenson of Streamwood, IL, Terry (Theresa) Lemke of Addison, IL, Richard Lemke of Des Plaines, IL and David Lemke of Hanover Park, IL; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, Howard Lemke of Sandwich, IL. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dorothy.
In honoring Bill's wishes, no services will be held.
