Wilbur "Willie" C. Pitzner, age 88 of Horicon, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at UW Hospital in Madison.
Wilbur was born in Beaver Dam on November 3, 1936, the son of Arthur W. and Anna A. (Raatz) Pitzner. He graduated from Juneau High School in 1954 and joined the Air Force right after, proudly serving his country while stationed overseas for a period of time. He farmed on the family farm in Lowell, which was his father and grandfather's homestead. Wilbur worked as a telegraph operator for most of his life. He enjoyed watching football, dancing to polka, and playing cards, particularly Sheepshead and Euchre in his free time.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents; and other relatives. He is survived by many relatives and friends.
A graveside service for Wilbur will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Grove Prairie Cemetery (Gibson Corner) in the town of Lowell.
As quoted by Willie in his high school yearbook: "I told him just exactly what I thought - I didn't say a word"
