Obituary

Wilfred "Bud" Woock, age 73 of Beaver Dam, peacefully went to his heavenly Father after a brief illness on Monday, May 5, 2008 at Watertown Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Bud was born March 24, 1935 on the family farm in the township of Burnett, the son of Arthur and Leona (Christian) Woock.

In 1956 he married Betty Uhlman and they had 4 children. Then on June 6, 1981 he married Donna (MacDonald) Warren.
Bud lived in the Beaver Dam and worked as a self-employed roofer until 1984 when he and his wife Donna moved to Columbus, Montana fulfilling his life-long dream of living in Montana. While in Montana Bud was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed wild game hunting, and showing family and friends the attractions and natural beauty of Montana. In 1999 Bud and Donna returned to Beaver Dam to be closer to family. Upon returning to Beaver Dam, Bud continued hunting, gardening, and began making jelly, (he was famous for Elderberry jelly) and cutting wood. He also volunteered for the Burnett Fire Dept. raffles and was a member of St. Stephens's Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.

Bud is survived by his wife Donna of Beaver Dam, his children Diane (Perry) Welch of Waupun, Allen Woock of Billings, MT, Deb (Randy) Schwark of Burnett, and Linda (Tom) Diels of Burnett, step-daughters: Sherry (John) Aplin of Lampasas, TX and Lori (Robert) Krist of Beaver Dam, grandchildren: Kellie, Eric and Tyler Diels of Burnett, and Stephanie Acevedo of North Carolina, step-grandchildren: Dustin (Gina) Aplin of Talpa, TX, Ryan (Megan) Aplin of London, England, Ashley (Friend Dan Martin) Copeland of Oshkosh, and Heather Copeland of Beaver Dam, a great-grand-daughter Mia Acevedo and a step-great-grand-daughter Morgan Copeland, his mother-in-law, Agnes MacDonald of Fox Lake, his brother Eugene (Elaine) Woock of Waupun, a sister Eleanor "Ellie" Klein of Ft. Atkinson, and his brother Richard (Donna) Woock of Beloit, brothers-in-law William Hughes of Johnson Creek, Jim(Sharon) MacDonald of Beaver Dam and Bill (Jean) MacDonald of Westfield,WI. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Carolyn Hughes, and his father-in-law Donald MacDonald and a brother in law John Klein.
Bud was loved and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

A Memorial Service for Bud will be on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11:00a.m. at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, 300 West. St. in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Philip Heyer Officiating. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 9:30a.m. until the time of Service at the Church. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the Township of Trenton.
Memorials can be made to St. Stephens Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
