William "Bill" "Bus" Rausch

Cambria, William “Bill” “Bus” Rausch of Cambria passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Golden Living – Continental Manor in Randolph. Services for Bill will be held at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home in Cambria on Sunday, Nov. 20th, at 2:00PM with Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday from 12:30 until the time of service. Burial will be at Cambria Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Cambria Fire Dept. community center. Bill was born April 2, 1924 in Cambria the son of Ervin Charles “Red” and Doris Martha (Missall) Rausch. He graduated from Cambria Union School in 1942 and enlisted in the US Navy, having served in the South Pacific. Bill was united in marriage to Betty Kamensky on March 3, 1952 in Florida. Following his discharge and the death of his father, Bill took over his father’s automobile sales business, which he owned and operated for 36 years. He then worked for Cennex-Rio until the company closed. He then worked for Dave Bradley at Town & Country. Bill finally retired at the young age of 86 years. While employed over the years, many will remember Bill with his business endeavors on the side, such as Black Angus Beef, Kay & Rae Pony Farm, his trucking business with Fall River and Friday canning companies, raising pigs at the Hog Heaven Farm and lastly as the bus maintenance person and bus driver for Cambria Union School, hence how he acquired his nickname “Bus”. Bill was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cambria. Bill is survived by his daughters, Karla “Kie” (Steve) Selk and Marla Graham; a daughter-in-law, Lori Rausch, all of Cambria; a step-son, Keith (Elaine) Forshee of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren, Michele (Jason) Koopmans of Poynette, Monica (Jeremy) Bullen of Portage, Jason Graham and Kim Graham of Cambria and Brooke (Dustin) Hoffmann of Pardeeville; step grandchildren, Brian Forshee, Tammy Forshee, Chad Forshee and twins, Robin and Kevin Forshee; his great grandchildren, Melanie and Molly Koopmans, Kaden Graham, Anala Bullen, Fletcher and Ryker Hoffmann; step great grandchildren, Destiny Forshee, Johnny Forshee, Cameron Forshee and Sophia Aiello-Forshee; the mother of his son, Viola (nee, Bradley) Jenkins of Randolph; many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty and his son, Rick. The Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home in Cambria is serving the family.
