William Mueller

William “Bill” F. Mueller, 81, of Brandon, passed away on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 at the Waupun Christian Home. 

Bill was born on January 9, 1943 in Fond du Lac, the son of Ornie and Evelyn Mueller. Bill graduated from Brandon High School in 1961. He worked at T.V. Building and Supply in Brandon and at the Brandon Police Department. He served as a rural mail carrier for the postal service for 32 years. In 1983, he married Carolyn Hull. Bill loved to attend car shows, his 74’ Monte Carlo, ice fishing, backyard campfires, gambling, and listening to polka music. He was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. In the last couple of months he loved listening and singing to hymns. Bill was a HUGE talker and loved to listen to the scanner, wanting to know what was happening. He also loved attending his grandkids activities.

Bill is survived by his wife, Carolyn Mueller; two children: Dale (Shelley) Mueller and Tammy Thorpe; three step-children: Kenneth (Brandi) Hull, Ronda (Rob) Weber, and Jason (Jennifer) Hull; nine grandchildren; Brandon (Katie) Mueller, Laura (Kirk) Wyffels, Elizabeth (Marcus) Koster, Emily (Jordan) Weber, Makenna and Alivea Hull, and Vanessa, Grace, and Bryce Weber; ten great-grandchildren: Madison, Maverick, Levi, Atilah, Hendrix, Clara, Leighton, Brecken, and Brooks; and one on the way, Mackenna.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ornie and Evelyn Mueller; in-laws, Clarence and Marion Kindschuh; son-in-law, Kenneth Thorpe; two step-daughters, Lori and Cheryl Hull; two brothers-in law, Robert and Donald Kindschuh and two sisters-in-law, Joan and Julie Kindschuh.

A celebration of Bill’s life will take place on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Bob Rosenberg officiating. Burial will take place at Brandon Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
