William O. Giese, age 94 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at North Shore Health Care in Randolph.

In honoring William's wishes, a private family service will be held and burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton.

William was born on July 24, 1923, the son of William and Clara (Stange) Giese. He was united in marriage to Shirley Lange on June 14, 1947 in Beaver Dam. William honorably served in the U.S. Army in WWII and was a member and past post commander of the American Legion Post 146. He also was a member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church.

William is survived by daughters Pamelia (Richard) Fraaza of Palmyra and Barbara (Michael) Hyne of Beaver Dam; granddaughters Heather (Greg Koenig) and Shannon (Steve Hanson) Fraaza; and great-grandchildren Audrey and Elias Hanson; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley in 2014; sister Marjorie Draeger; and other relatives.
