[highlight_text] (1924-2013) [/highlight_text] Donald Sidney Davis, 88, of Waupun, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home with his daughter, Terri, and her husband, Ted Neuburg, at his side on March 23, 2013.

[leftcolumn] Donald was born April 19, 1924 in South Beaver Dam, Dodge Co, WI the son of Sidney and Mildred (Dunning) Davis. Don married Elsie E Dorn on September 27, 1943 in Milton, WI. Don and Elsie were the parents of Donald J Davis, Thomas L Davis and Terri L (Davis) Neuburg.

Don served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945. Don then worked at the General Motors plant in Janesville, WI. He retired in 1977. After retirement, Don and Elsie volunteered at Rock County Genealogical Society and Rock County Historical Society. They compiled many publications for aiding genealogists.

Don is survived by his children, Donald J (Joyce) Davis of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas L Davis of Eustis, FL, and Terri (Ted) Neuburg of Waupun, WI; three granddaughters, Jessica Barnheiser of Wayzata, MN, Heather (Len) DeWees of Langhorne, PA, and Rebecca Davis of Las Vegas, NV; and 5 great-grandsons, Brennon, Davis, and Reese Barnheiser, and Christian and Gage DeWees; brothers, William, Richard and Sidney; sisters, Beverly and Carol.

[rightcolumn] [highlight_text] Visitation: [/highlight_text] A memorial visitation will be held at the VFW hall in Janesville on Sat. April 13th, 2013 from 2-6 p.m.
