Don served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945. Don then worked at the General Motors plant in Janesville, WI. He retired in 1977. After retirement, Don and Elsie volunteered at Rock County Genealogical Society and Rock County Historical Society. They compiled many publications for aiding genealogists.
Don is survived by his children, Donald J (Joyce) Davis of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas L Davis of Eustis, FL, and Terri (Ted) Neuburg of Waupun, WI; three granddaughters, Jessica Barnheiser of Wayzata, MN, Heather (Len) DeWees of Langhorne, PA, and Rebecca Davis of Las Vegas, NV; and 5 great-grandsons, Brennon, Davis, and Reese Barnheiser, and Christian and Gage DeWees; brothers, William, Richard and Sidney; sisters, Beverly and Carol.

My sympathies to you and your family Terri. I am blessed to have known your father. You were his angel and now he is yours. Wishing you strength during this hard time.
Please accept my sympathy over your recent loss. Don received such great love and care from you and Ted at a time that had to be very difficult for you all. You did all you could to make his life good.
