DuWayne Loecher

1960-2016

DuWayne Loecher, 55, of Waupun, returned to his heavenly home on Friday, April 29,2016, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, with family by his side.

DuWayne was born on October 19th, 1960 the son of Ambrose and Juliana (Wettstein) Loecher. He attended High School in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. While in nursing school he met the love of his life, Annette (Harmsen) Loecher. On October 24th, 1980 DuWayne and Annette were united in love at Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon, WI. DuWayne was known as the “Miracle Man” after his cardiac arrest in June of 2008, in which his heart stopped beating for 27 minutes. He became an ordained minister after his near death experience and enjoyed sharing his story with many people that were suffering. DuWayne was a kind, dedicated, and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a passion for helping others, going for walks with his black lab, Cole, enjoyed holiday decorating and loved to spend time with his family and his two beautiful granddaughters.

DuWayne is survived by his wife of 35 years, Annette; three children: Anthony (Carrie) Loecher of Columbus, Alicia (Ronald Jr.) Mueller of West Bend, and Christa Loecher of Fond du Lac; and his two granddaughters: Lilylyn Maurene Loecher “Lovey” and Aveya Lynae Mueller “Pookie”.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juliana (Wettstein) Loecher; and his brother, Donald Loecher.

DuWayne was loved and cherished by many. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
