Eugene is survived by six children, Larry (JoAnn) of Fond du Lac, Donna of Gleason, WI, David (Lori) or Beaver Dam, Karen of Fond du Lac, Brenda (Jim) King of Fond du Lac, and Kathy (special friend Tony) of Fond du Lac; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with a great-grandson expected in July; a brother, Elmer (Charlene) of Beaver Dam; a sister-in-law, Leona Vande Zande of rural Waupun; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel, in 2003; his parents, John and Jennie; mother-in-law and father-law, Rein and Ruth Vande Zande; a grandson, Nathaniel; two brothers-in-law, Roger and Theodore Vande Zande; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Vande Zande.

I’m sorry to hear of Eugene’s passing. Being his cousin (his dad John and my mom Nellie were brother and sister), I’m sorry to say that we haven’t kept in touch through the years, as so often happens to large families. I do want to extend once again, my sympathy and pray that God will give you the strength you need to carry you through these difficult times. Living in Black River Falls at the time, I will not be able to attend his funeral.
