My sincere sympathy to the family. Mrs. Wheeler was well known in the BDUSD. She was also a substitute teacher for all of my children throughout the years. She lived a very full life.

I was blessed to have know your mom as she subbed in the BDUSD for many years. She always amazed many of us teachers as to how she kept such control, always did the plans left by the teacher, and even corrected the papers. I was very happy to have attended her 80th birthday bash along with many other fellow teachers from the Beaver Dam School district. Her day in the classroom was always a day of learning for the students, not that the kids always loved her, but the staff did. Great Lady! Pat here’s to you….

I had the opportunity to work with Pat when she subbed at South Beaver Dam. I loved her humor and her spunk! She will be greatly missed!

We were very sorry to hear about your mother. As a substitute teacher, Pat was always so cheerful and upbeat. She could handle any situation. We always laughed how Pat was able to find her way to any building by making only right hand turns. With her, if there was a will, she’d find a way. I was very honored to work with her while she was at Jefferson School. She was always requested to sub for teachers because she always completed the teacher’s plans and went above and beyond to meet the needs of the students. She will be missed by many.

My condolences to all of Pat’s family; I know she’s going to be greatly missed by all of you–as well as by those of us who were fortunate to get to know her during her teaching days in Beaver Dam. I, like many other teachers, often requested Pat to fill in for us when we were absent from work. She could always be counted on to do a professional job and cared deeply about the students that she would be working with–even if it was just for a short period of time during which she taught them. Plus, Pat’s sense of humor had a way of making our teachers’ lounge a livelier and warmer place on those days when she was at our school. Simply put: she was a very special lady whom I feel fortunate to have known….

    Wheeler Family-

I still remember when Pat sprinkled some cracker crumbs on the carpet and proceeded to do a “Hokey” commercial for us in her home by cleaning up the crumbs. Her husband, Paul, just roared – it was so funny. Always a character — Pat.
Happy Memories for you. Sorry for your loss.
