John George Bille

1924 - 2017

John George Bille, 93, of Waupun, was called to his eternal home on June 30, 2017.

John was born June 20, 1924 to Herbert and Minnie Rens Bille in Waupun. On April 14, 1945 he married Ethel H. Daane. Ethel passed away August 17, 2006. They were married 61 years. John was a farmer and also worked at Mercury Marine for 18 years. He served his country in WWII February 1, 1946-July 13, 1947. He was a member of Alto Reformed Church and sang many years in the men’s chorus.

John is survived by three sons: Dennis “Butch” (Gail) Bille of Waupun, Bruce (Liz) Bille of Brandon, and Larry (JoAnn) Bille of Waupun; three daughters: Loretta (Dave) Soeller of Ripon, Barbara (Robert) Pluim of Waupun, and Deb (Bill) Gerrits of Waupun; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Van Buren; a brother, Bernie Bille; a brother-in-law, Merlin Vande Zande; and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; a son, Daniel in 1980; two grandsons: Aaron and Michael; and a brother.

Visitation

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Services

Funeral services for John George Bille will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church with Rev. David Rumley officiating.

Burial

Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.

Special Thanks

The family expresses their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Christian Home and Living Center in Waupun, and to Generations Hospice for the loving care John received. The family is forever grateful.
