[highlight_text] [/highlight_text] Ray Giese, 86, of Waupun, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

[leftcolumn] Ray was born February 16, 1928 in Waupun, the son of William and Margaret Kovalaske Giese. On September 4, 1948 he married Mildred Born in Waupun and the couple lived in Waupun all their married lives. Ray was employed at John Deere in Horicon and retired after 31 years of employment. Then, Ray and Mildred were employed as custodians at The State Bank of Waupun where they worked for many years. Mildred died in 1988. Ray was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun and a member of The Eagles Club of Fond du Lac.

Ray is survived by a son, Ronald W. Giese of Fond du Lac; two daughters: Linda J. Elgersma of Beaver Dam and Barbara K. Giese of Waupun; four grandchildren: Tammy Giese, Jenelle Ritter, Gena Winter, and Jana Elgersma, all of Beaver Dam; seven great-grandchildren: Aaron Bailey, Brennon Giese, Matthew Hussli, Evan Winter, Ian Winter, Lydia Elgersma, and Tanner Ritter.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; a son, David, in 2004; and a brother, Wilbert “Gaser” Giese.

[rightcolumn] [highlight_text] Services: [/highlight_text] Funeral services for Ray Giese will be held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 12 noon at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun with Rev. Elizabeth Lee officiating.
