Robert “Star” Decker, 69, of Mayville, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his home.
Bob was born January 19, 1949 in Beaver Dam the son of LeRoy and Norma Vande Zande Decker. Bob grew up in Fox Lake and graduated from Waupun High School. On October 21, 1972 he married Rene Williams in Fox Lake. They resided in Fox Lake until 1986 and then moved to Mayville. Bob retired from Tab Products in Mayville. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a medic. He attended First Christian Reformed Church in Waupun. Bob was an avid sportsman and enjoyed a variety of activities.
Bob is survived by three children: Derek (Danyelle) Decker of Appleton, Daniel (Sara) Decker of Mayville, and Darcey (Mike) Anderson of Leroy; nine grandchildren: Briana, Brady, Brooklyn, Paxton, Sullivan, Crosby, Addison, Jackson, and Hudson; three brothers: Terry (Kathy) Decker of Waupun, Mike (Marcia) Decker of Beaver Dam, and Vince (Ellen) Decker of Waupun; a sister, Gale (Oscar) Hartwig of Horicon; nieces and nephews; and his special long-time friend of 27 years, Debbie Mulder of Mayville.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation
Friends and relatives of Bob Decker may call on the family on Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services
Funeral services for Bob Decker will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 12 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Al Venhuizen officiating.
Burial
Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Fox Lake where military honors will be performed.

All of the Decker family have my greatest sympathy! I have known you all and my heart bleeds with you in your loss of a brother. Treasure all the great memories. Could not have met a nicer family. You all have my blessings and God bless you all!

Derek,Dan,and Darcey. We are so sorry to hear about Dad. We have known him for years. Howie played base ball with him for Zwiegs. Great ball player and a good person. You are all in our prayers and wish you the best. I will always remember many fun times with your Dad Years ago.
