William I. Lackey, 77, of Waupun, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 after a short but courageous fight with cancer.
Bill was born December 7, 1939 in Combs, Arkansas the son of Willis and Lara Deaton Lackey. Bill was proud of his career as a correctional officer at the Wisconsin State Prison in Waupun. His career spanned from 1965 until his retirement in 1992. Bill also honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Bill is survived by his wife, Roberta; three step-sons: Tony (Kim) Wieczorek, Thomas (Patty) Wieczorek, and Michael (Misty) LaFond; three step-grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and two sisters.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; two sisters; and a daughter, Kara Bunker.

Pursuant to Bill’s request, no formal funeral services will be held.
